Anyone got anything else? I would then try disconnecting any user profiles, ost's and or pst's from it and see if it launches Is this Exchange, Pop, Imap?? My guess is you have a corrupted PST file.

Run scanpst against the PST file and see if that repairs the issue. The problem is that it launches fine, but after a few minutes of me being able to use it, it locks up. I tried the above and rebooted. Mine appears to be tied to KB Unfortunately due to my company policy, the update was automatically pushed down upon logging in so my outlook starting crashing again. I have uninstalled the update again and just did not reboot this time and Outlook appears to be stable.

Some of our users are experiencing Outlook crashes on our network when they receive an e-mail with an attachment that is 2mb or over. I tested this and sent this e-mail to these users multiple times and each time this e-mail would crash their outlook.

When they reopen outlook the e-mail message is there and they are able to open it and read it just fine. I uninstalled KB from one computer and then tested that same e-mail again and this time it does not crash at all. On the computers take crash if I reinstall KB it will start crashing again so I just hide it from windows updates for now.

I read the previous messages and they are pointing to some hotfixes which I read through and in these I don't see anything that states they fix this kind of an issue. Are these the correct patches I am looking for. Also which one of these patches do I need because there seems to be a patch for a patch. Do I download the patch for Outlook or for Office System.

This update supersedes KB and has the latest fixes. In my case, yes, i did re-install KB before applying the hot fix.

I had a similar, but it was only on one employee's computer. Employee had an XP Desktop with Office Event log error:. That didn't work. OST file in this case Outlook. That resolved the issue. When I reopened Outlook, it started to download all of the employees email again, and she was able to use Outlook.

Unless someone has a really slow connection to the Exchange Server -- In my opinion -- it's better delete the OST rather than running a repair on it. The Outlook account is roaming. There are only few systems affected by the issue. The users while working got Outlook crashing. The users have been patched up with the lated MS Office patches.
