Google update plugin

This Plug in can ensure the best security as well as smooth operation of Firefox and other Google software installed on your machine. The Firefox users are most expected to get this plugin automatically in their machine at the time of downloading any Google programs.

In case, you have not downloaded any programs recently, you might need to download it from any other source. However, it is best suggested to download the update plugin only from an authentic site so that you can actually avail all the goodness of this update, and do not get caught in between of some half-baked updates that are not even trustable and can actually harm the functioning of your system.

It does not slow down your system or neither meddles with any other program installed in your machine. All the plugin does is to ensure that you are secured on the web while browsing and is able to use the latest functionality of the browser. This plug in can give you rid of browsing interruptions or any unexpected errors you might be facing while using Firefox.

And this is exactly the reason you shouldn't just answer with links.

Thanks for the currently useless answer. What is it? This is not an answer. It is not self contained and merely points at where the answer can be found.

Some of the links have already died, others will most likely die before people stop trying to find the answer to this question. Good answers on stack exchange stand on their own, with links only for further information.

Accepting 'answers' which only link to the actual answer does a disservice to every other person who might want the question answered. Voting up or in cases like this, not voting down answers like this is similarly a disservice to people who actually want to solve this problem.

It was a loong time ago, but in the past I had tried deleting the npGoogleUpdate3. Did you check for this? I just remembered I wrote a blog post about this , at least in the past, to remove this plugin, all you had to do was remove the npGoogleOneClick8.

Perhaps they changed it…. While your tips for removing Firefox Plug ins seem viable, why use a clone Waterfox-Palemoon when you can have the original Browser?

There are 64bit versions of Firefox, FYI! Considering that Plugins are NOT required in Thunderbird, any TB users can quite easily delete them using the same procedure posted in the article. Thunderbird like Firefox does have about:config settings. But, how the heck do you get to about:config in Thunderbird since there is no address bar to type about:config in.

Copy and paste: plugin. I have never heard or seen or have found anything regarding this and I have searched Windows Tech-net library and Command-line A-Z without success. This is one of the best articles I read about this subject, it is so strange that is so hard to get rid of this plugin.. Thanks for the post about this plugin. I have a firefox memory leak somewhere and going through each plugin one by one to try to troubleshoot the problem. Hi everybody and thanks for the hints. I would appreciate any help as to cmd way.

Today, for the first time, I saw Meebo toolbar at the bottom of the basic Google search page in Firefox. Google bought Meebo earlier this year. Is Google turning into the Gator of ? Thanks for the post. I know virtually nothing about computers, and so have been teaching myself slowly.

I would only ask that perhaps the reason for getting rid of google update your last paragraph would be more useful before the instructions for doing so. Once I had a reason for using them, they were more accessible. Thanks again for the post. For example VLC unobtrusively checks each time I run it if it is the latest version, is Google too stupid to do this? Good stuff Martin! Definitely worth the read. Your article was well written and thought out. But I have to say you got me wondering why Google would develop this plugin.

I would have liked to have been in the project planning meeting to know what the deliverables were. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. Please click on the following link to open the newsletter signup page: Ghacks Newsletter Sign up.
